**Obituary for Debbra Louise Underwood**

**June 6, 1960 - September 7, 2025**

Debbra Louise Underwood, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer. She fought with dignity, grace, and humor to the very end.

Born June 6, 1960, in Royal Palm Beach, Florida, Debbra proudly holds the distinction of being the first baby born to the village after its founding that same year.

Debbra attended some college and nurtured a lifelong love of reading and learning. For many years she served others as a restaurant server, where her warm smile, quick wit, and generous spirit endeared her to coworkers and patrons alike.

A woman of many passions, Debbra loved music, treasured sun and the ocean, and could often be found with a book in hand. She found joy in crocheting, often gifting handmade blankets to family and friends, and delighted in watching Disney movies with her children and grandchildren. An avid elephant collector, she cherished each piece as a symbol of strength, wisdom, and loyalty—qualities she lived every day.

Debbra was preceded in death by her parents, Richard William Persson and Barbara Marie Persson, and her sister, Denise Persson Schmaltz.

She is survived by her children Bambi Starr Anderson, Brooke Ann Underwood, Craig Louis Underwood (Angel), and Richard Anthony William Underwood (Samantha); grandchildren Nicholas McKesson, Michael Anderson Jr., Anthony Persson, Micaela Anderson, Mason Clements, Landon Jessup, Luke Underwood, Kyleigh Underwood, Isabella Jessup, Christopher Schwall, Auriel Schwall, Annastizia Schwall, Lucy Underwood, and Junior Underwood—along with many others who loved her as a grandmother. She also leaves behind her siblings William Persson, Donald Persson (Kathleen), and Geraldine “Gigi” Jury (Douglas), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.

Debbra’s nurturing spirit, steadfast love, and infectious laughter will be forever remembered by all who knew her.

A public visitation service will take place on Monday, September 22, 2025 from 11:00 am - 11:30 am at: Lakeside Funeral Home Life Celebration Suite, 11347 Okeechobee Blvd, Royal Palm Beach, FL. 33411. A funeral ceremony will commence immediately after from 11:30 am - 1:00 pm.

Debbra will be peacefully laid to rest at 2:00 pm at: Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery, 10941 Southern Blvd, Royal Palm Beach, FL. 33411
