Donald Thompson, age 82, resident of Royal Palm Beach, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2021.
Donald Audley Thompson was born to Ivy and Percival Thompson on September 8, 1938, in Portland, Jamaica. He was the eldest of their 9 children. Donald attended primary and secondary school in Jamaica. He went on to study at the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico- San Germain, where he studied Economics. Donald spoke Spanish fluently and met his loving wife Mildred in Costa Rica while working with the International Labour Organization in South America.
Donald and Mildred settled in Mt Vernon, New York, where they raised his three children Michelle, Sasha, and Ana-Luisa. After retirement in 2016, Donny resettled in Florida to enjoy warmer days and enjoy life with his grandchildren and family. He is survived by his children Sonia, Dean, Michelle, Sasha, Ana, his siblings, Beverly, Leone, Harvey, Marva, Joy, grandchildren Jaida, Kallista, Isabel, Adrielle, Jordan, Goldyn, great granddaughter Jolee and many other family members.
A Celebration of Life Ceremony will take place on Saturday, June 5, 2021 from 11:00AM - 2:00PM at the Lakeside Celebration Suite.
