Eugenie B. Richards-Hansen, a beloved member of The Acreage, Florida community, passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, August 18th, 2025, at the age of 88. Born in the serene surroundings of St Johns, Antigua & Barbuda on Tuesday, December 29th, 1936, Eugenie lived a life full of warmth, compassion, and service to others.

Eugenie served as a Certified Nursing Aide, a career through which she touched countless lives with her caring nature and unwavering dedication. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her profession, as she was a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Her legacy of love and kindness continues to flourish through her family.

Eugenie is predeceased by her loving husband, Valdemar C. Hansen, with whom she shared many memorable years. Their union was a testament to enduring love and companionship.

The community is invited to celebrate the life of Eugenie B. Richards-Hansen at a funeral ceremony on Friday, September 5, 2025, at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church, located at 1063 N. Haverhill Rd., West Palm Beach, FL 33417. The time of the ceremony will be announced at a later date.

Interment services will take place immediately following the funeral ceremony at 1:30 p.m. at: South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 SR 7, Lake Worth, FL. 33449.

The arrangements for Eugenie's final journey are entrusted to Lakeside Funeral Home & Cremation Care, reflecting the care she always imparted to those around her.

Eugenie will forever be remembered for her gentle heart, her devotion to her family, and her unwavering compassion for those in need. Her spirit will continue to inspire and guide all who knew her. May she rest in peace.
