It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Franklin D. Newsome, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend. Franklin passed away peacefully on Monday, January 6th, 2025, at the age of 88, in West Palm Beach, Florida, where he resided for many years.

Franklin was born on Sunday, December 20th, 1936, in the charming town of Craigsville, West Virginia. From a young age, he exhibited a remarkable work ethic and an unwavering dedication to his craft, which served him well throughout his life. He spent many fulfilling years as a skilled crane operator, where his precision and reliability earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues.

After retiring, Franklin enjoyed the warm weather and vibrant community of West Palm Beach, where he spent his days surrounded by those he loved. His presence will be deeply missed, yet his spirit will continue to guide those who knew him.

Arrangements to celebrate Franklin's life are being handled by Lakeside Funeral Home & Cremation Care.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity close to Franklin's heart, in support of causes he held dear.
