Irene was born in McRae Georgia, and raised in Riviera Beach Florida where she continued to reside. She was predeceased by her father Alphonse Hanna, and mother Pearl (Reddick) Hanna. She is survived by her sons Robert Yanklowski (Debi), Scott Yanklowski (Tracey), nephews, nieces, and step-grandchildren.
Irene held a doctorate degree in Psychology, and was proud of her educational accomplishments. She worked for the Palm Beach County School Board up until her retirement, at which time she was able to take care of her elderly parents until the time of their passing.
She took great pleasure in reading, and writing in her journal. She had a love for animals, especially cats and dogs. She took pride in giving to others, and donating regularly to many organizations including animal and wildlife rescues, veteran charities, children in need, the church, Alzheimer’s, Hospice, etc. Irene loved a great laugh, and had a large sense of humor. She enjoyed a good chat, and was able to easily articulate on any given topic. She was always there to provide a listening ear, and moral support to her loved ones and those around her. She will be deeply missed. May she Rest In Peace.
