Katherine Ann Dusombre

Katherine Ann (Costello) Dusombre, 83, of Palm Beach, FL., died on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at the Jupiter Medical Center.

“KA” to her friends, was born in Boston on August 8, 1940 the daughter of the late Walter A. and Mary F. (Duggan) Costello. 

KA was raised in Swampscott and was a graduate of Swampscott High School, Class of 1958. Later she graduated from Salem State College with a master’s degree in Education then went on to earn a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies (CAGS) from Boston University. She proudly served as a Reading Specialist for the Andover school district. She had also taught in Long Beach, California, Bogata, Columbia and Okinawa, Japan. She enjoyed traveling, fashion, interior design, real estate investing and took pride in being a practicing Catholic. KA loved to exercise, shop, dine out, and spend time with her many friends and family.  

KA was the beloved wife of the late Robert Dusombre. She was the sister of Denise L. McKee of Woburn, Attorney Walter A. Costello, Jr. and his wife Carol Ann of Swampscott, and the late Attorney Mary F. Costello. She is survived by her nieces Sarah M. Costello and M. Elaina Costello-Byrne, both of Swampscott. Also, by her Nephews Attorney John L. McKee of Reading and Michael Grant of Charleston, South Carolina and the late Michael T. McKee. She is also survived by her 9 great-nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30AM on Saturday April 13, 2024 at St. John the Evangelist Church, Swampscott followed by burial at Swampscott Cemetery. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held prior to the funeral from 8-10AM at SOLIMINE FUNERAL HOME 67 Ocean St., (Rt. 1A), Lynn. Online guestbook at www.Solimine.com.
