Linda Kay Jones

Linda K. Jones, 81, of Wellington, FL, passed away on May 24, 2023. Linda was born February 25, 1942 in Ardmore, Oklahoma. She married her best friend and love of her life, John Jones, in 1962. They were married 59 years. Linda earned her Masters of Education degree from Central State University in OK, while married and raising three boys. Linda and John moved to Wellington in 1979 and became active members at St. Peter’s United Methodist Church. She was a teacher for many years at Forest Hill and Lake Worth High Schools.

Linda enjoyed working puzzles, reading, playing games, and her guilty pleasure of mini Caramel Magnum ice cream bars. But most of all Linda loved the Lord and her family.  She was instrumental in bringing the Emmaus experience to Florida, in which she continued to serve at the local and state levels, and occasionally other countries.  Linda will be remembered for the difference she made in the lives of so many people with her unconditional love and kindness.  

She was loved by her husband, John (predeceased), her sisters, her sons, John Keith Jones, Jr. (Nancy Macfarlane), Kevin Jones (Michael Wallace), Kirk Jones (Melanie Adams) and grandchildren Haley Jones Chin (Alex), Cameron Jones, and Owen Jones. She will also be missed by her great-granddaughter, Jocelyn, who we promise to make sure becomes the next “queen of games” like her GiGi.
