It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Minette Mertilda Howell, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Minette passed away on Sunday, April 26th, 2026. She was 86 years old.

Minette was born on Tuesday, February 27th, 1940, in the picturesque town of Manchester, Jamaica. Her warm spirit and vibrant personality were cherished by all who knew her. She was a proud and devoted member of her community, known for her infectious smile and compassionate nature.

A dedicated and hardworking woman, Minette excelled in her occupation in housekeeping, where she touched the lives of many with her meticulous care and genuine kindness. Her strong work ethic was admired by colleagues and clients alike.

Minette was a truly people's person, cherished for her ability to make everyone feel valued and loved. She was deeply family-oriented, always placing the needs of her loved ones above her own. Her home was filled with love, laughter, and the delicious aromas of her Jamaican cooking, which she took great joy in sharing. Minette’s passion for dancing brought joy to many of the family gatherings, where her energy and enthusiasm uplifted everyone.

A devout Christian, Minette was actively involved in her church community and was a member of Christ Fellowship Church in Royal Palm Beach, Florida. Her faith was unwavering, and she found strength and solace in her spiritual journey.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Renald Howell, her loving daughter, Loma Thompson, 3 treasured grandchildren, and 4 precious great-grandchildren. Minette's legacy of love, kindness, and faith will live on through her family and the countless lives she touched.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Lakeside Funeral Home & Cremation Care. A funeral ceremony to celebrate Minette’s life will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026. Further details will be announced once arrangements are finalized. Following the funeral ceremony, Minette will be peacefully laid to rest and entombed at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. located at 10941 Southern Blvd, Royal Palm Beach, FL. 33411.

Minette will be remembered for the joy she brought into the world and the multitude of hearts she warmed. She will be greatly missed but forever loved.
