Samantha Jo Goll (nee Rezanka), 63, of Royal Palm Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully at her home on September 12, 2023, surrounded by her family, following an extended illness.
Samantha was born in Tampa, Florida, August 17, 1960, to Judith Ann Haynes Rezanka and Robert Leo Rezanka.
A native Floridian, Samantha spent most of her life as a Florida resident, attending primary school in Jacksonville Beach, Fl. and middle and high school in Palatka, Fl. Samantha graduated from the Academy for Nursing and Health Occupations, West Palm Beach, Fl. and was a Registered Nurse.
Samantha was a protector and a caregiver, and nursing was a natural fit. Samantha was proud of her profession and was well known and respected for her skill and knowledge. Samantha was the recipient of the Daisy Award for excellence in nursing. The role she most loved was that of Wife and Mother. Samantha married Curtis V. Goll in November 1990, and they raised two children, Amanda Chiapetta and Curtis W. Goll, along with many pets.
Samantha had a generous heart and never turned away anyone in need, human or animal. Curtis loved Samantha and never turned away anyone or thing she brought home, including multiple horses, numerous cats and dogs and an occasional injured animal she nursed to health. Samantha was talented and enjoyed sewing, gardening, entertaining, and she was an excellent cook. Samantha had a flare for storytelling, a quick wit, and a great sense of humor. Samantha lit up a room, and people loved to be with her. Samantha was a cherished wife, mother, sister, niece, aunt, mentor, cousin, and friend. Her memory lives on through her family and friends; her legacy is the kindness, generosity, grace and love she shared with all who knew her.
Samantha is preceded in death by her mother, Judith Ann Haynes Elliott; step-father, E. Wesley Elliott; maternal grandparents, Garnett Woodall Haynes and Ovie Floyd Haynes; paternal grandparents, Anne Rezanka and John Rezanka.
Samantha is survived by her husband, Curtis V. Goll, daughter Amanda Chiapetta, both of Royal Palm Beach, Fl., son Curtis W. Goll, and wife Kimberly, a grandson, Colton, due to arrive in October, of Lake Worth, Fl, a sister, Nicole Wilson and husband Bill, of Bellevue, Washington, an Uncle, Rev. James C. Haynes and Aunt Nancy, of Centerburg, Ohio, Aunt Jane C. Stockton, Ft. Mill South Carolina, her father, Robert L. Rezanka and wife Mary Ann of Green Valley, Az., multiple cousins, and her beloved Pets, James Bond, a very formal tuxedo cat, Hans Solo, a German Shepherd, and a very good boy, and her favorite feline niece, Gabby.
The family would like to acknowledge Michelle Diliberto Kirshbaum and Jessie Derival for their dedication to Samantha during her illness. Your kindness, commitment and companionship to Samantha reflected the friendship and love you shared, and we are forever grateful for your loving care.
