Sheryl M. Barr

LOXAHATCHEE – Sheryl “Sherry” M. Barr passed away peacefully on June 26, 2023, after a year-long battle with cancer. She was born on November 06, 1960, in Savannah, Georgia. Her father, James C. Brown, was employed by the National Park Service at Fort Pulaski, outside of Savannah.  She spent many happy hours in her childhood with her sister Susan and mother, Millicent, playing and exploring on the grounds of the fort.  She attended Savannah Christian High School and Armstrong State College.  She later moved to Florida where she was employed at the Palm Beach County Property Appraisers Office for over 32 years.

Sheryl was a very devout Christian, and her faith and compassion were ever-present.  She loved to travel and enjoyed exploring scenery and wildlife of our national parks and experiencing the cultures and history of other countries. Sheryl could be defined by her love of life, her unswerving faith, her compassion for others and appreciation of the beauty all around us. 

Sheryl was a devoted and loving wife, daughter, and sister. She is survived by her loving husband Robert (Bob), her mother Millicent (Millie), and her sister Susan (Susie). A service will be held on July 13th beginning at 11:00 AM for family and friends at the Christ Fellowship Church in Royal Palm Beach at the corner of Southern Blvd and State RD 7.
