Steven R Hinkes

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Steven Hinkes, 38, of Delray Beach, FL. Steven found eternal rest on Monday, October 30, 2023. He was born November 21, 1984 to Carol and Robert Hinkes and grew up in Sparta, NJ.

Steven was a huge car and movie enthusiast, but radio was his true calling in life. Despite having no previous on-air experience, Steven used his quick wit and even quicker thinking skills to talk himself into securing his first DJ job, launching an illustrious career spanning nearly 20 years and several different stations. Steven had the gift of storytelling. He was passionate and dedicated and will always be remembered by those whose stories he shared. Although Steven went by various stage names during his career, his genuine personality and strong character never changed.

He loved pranks and making people laugh but was also kind, generous, and a great listener. He is truly missed by those who had the pleasure of knowing him. Steven will always be remembered by his parents, Carol and Bob, his brother Matthew, his girlfriend Sarah, and many other loving family members and friends.427 Stanhope Rd, Sparta Township, NJ 07871

A Memorial Mass will be held at Saint Kateri Church in Sparta, NJ on December 2, 2023 at 11:00 am.
