Funeral Services
A funeral gives family and friends one place to come together, say goodbye, and begin to carry a loss with some measure of comfort. At Lakeside Funeral Home & Cremation Care, we help Royal Palm Beach families plan a burial service that reflects who their loved one actually was, whether that means a full ceremony in our chapel on Okeechobee Boulevard, a service at your own church, or a simple gathering at the graveside. Our staff is committed to serving every family with the same compassionate, personal attention regardless of financial situation or background. Someone is available to answer at (561) 557-4739 any hour of the day or night.
A Traditional Funeral Service
A traditional funeral brings everyone together in one place, with your loved one present, for a service that honors a life in full. We can hold the ceremony in our chapel here in Royal Palm Beach, or coordinate it at your church or another location that carries meaning for your family.
Our directors handle the professional care and preparation of your loved one, the order of service, music and readings, and the participation of clergy or family speakers. We also supervise the funeral coach and the procession to the cemetery so the day moves gently and nothing is left for you to manage.
Visitation and Gathering
Many families add a visitation before the service. It gives relatives, neighbors, and coworkers time to pay their respects and share memories without the formality of a ceremony, and it is often where the first real comfort arrives.
We prepare the room, arrange flowers and photographs, and provide a guest register book so you have a lasting record of everyone who came. A visitation can be held the evening before or the same day as the funeral. If family is traveling in from out of state, tell us and we will build the schedule around their arrival.
Graveside and Committal
The committal at the cemetery is often the most personal part of the day. We coordinate directly with cemeteries across Palm Beach County, arrange hearse transportation, confirm the opening and closing of the grave, and stay with your family until the last person has gone.
Some families choose a graveside service on its own, with no chapel ceremony beforehand. We also offer a simple immediate burial for families who prefer no formal visitation or ceremony at all. Cemetery fees and outer burial containers are charged by the cemetery rather than by us, and we will show you exactly what those costs are before you commit to anything.
